I grew up in Utah and started investing at 16, after a book changed how I thought about money. I always wanted to build something bigger than myself. Not a job. Something with real weight to it.
I went to school for marketing, but a guy in a suit talked me into finance instead. I guess I never got the memo about picking one, because a few years later I started a marketing company too. Today I'm a Private Wealth Advisor and Director of Operations at a $1B wealth planning firm, and COO & Co-Founder of that marketing and production company.
I've also had a software launch fail completely. That one still sits with me. Not as a regret. Just proof I'm willing to try things that might blow up in my face. Outside of work I read more than people expect, drink good whiskey, and pick stocks better than I probably should admit to.
